Mission

Southeastern Minnesota Youth Orchestras (SEMYO) is dedicated to the artistic and personal development of young instrumental musicians.

Organization

SEMYO is led by a volunteer board of directors consisting of parents and community members. SEMYO’s artistic directors, office manager and committees report to the executive director. The orchestra members elect one or more students to represent them at board meetings.

Community

Part of SEMYO's charter is to involve the Southeastern Minnesota community in the orchestral arts. Several programs are either currently under development or under way. This space has been created to keep SEMYO members and the surrounding community informed of our work in this area.
